Larry Robbin (BIO) will talk about successful re-entry employment programs that work from the model of a strong prevention oriented strategy that is well integrated into every aspect of pre and post employment services - from orientation through job maintenance supports. With difficulties facing the re-entry population to land jobs, the real struggle may be in supporting their job maintenance. A look at the high recidivism rates that occur even while people are working supports the model that finding the job is not the end point. Larry will identify causes for ex-offender job loss - from quitting to being fired. He will present strategies to change pre-employment services to support job retention and Larry will bring best practices to support effective post employment retention services.
