Description: |
Presented by Curtis Richards
As workforce development professionals seek to better include youth with disabilities, you must often walk a fine line between reaching out and intruding. You need to ask about disability to provide the best services but don’t want to be accused of discrimination or ignore someone’s privacy rights. You want to provide the best worksite experience but aren’t sure what to tell the employer. Join this webinar to hear legal guidelines and practical strategies for disability questions, as well as if, when, and how to disclose a disability. Participants will receive a copy of “The 411 on Disability Disclosure: A Workbook for Youth” and also learn about several free resources they can use when making decisions and developing program policies for their work.
This event was held live on February 24, 2010 at 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm ET. The event has been recorded and is available for viewing. Price: $70
