I use AOL and my web pages just seem to keep getting slower and slower. What can I do? |
 |
AOL's built-in browser temporarily stores images and text from World Wide Web pages on your hard drive in a storage area called a cache. When the cache fills up, performance can slow down, and your hard drive may run out of space.
To clear the browser cache follow these steps:
1. On the Settings menu on the AOL toolbar, click Preferences. 2. In the Organization section of the Preferences window, click Internet Properties (WWW). 3. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files. 4. Click OK.

I think I already know this stuff. Can I just take the test? |
 |
Yes, many people have learned the information in the courses through work experience. A good measure of whether you have mastered the materials is to take the pre-test. If you do not pass, you will probably want to read the materials first and then take the final exam.
|
| |
Some quizzes and the answers to quizzes are not showing up. What's wrong? |

I am getting 35 unspecified error, error 35 or 40 when I try to open a course. |
 |
First, you'll need to run a browser test to make sure you have all the required plug-ins.
Second, open up your IE browser and go the menu item "Tools" then "Internet Options".
Now go to and open the tab that says "Advanced". Look for "Sun Java" and/Or Microsoft VM.
If Sun Java is selected, then deselect it.
Make sure all boxes are selected for the Microsoft VM section and then reboot your computer.
If you don't see Microsoft VM under the advanced tab, follow these instructions first and then redo the above steps.
Microsoft (because of a court battle with Sun Microsystems) no longer offers the base installer for the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (JVM). However Click2learn is permitted to distribute the installer for build 3508 of the Microsoft JVM installer. If you have no version of the Microsoft JVM installed and need one in order to run ToolBook's DHTML, you can download and install the JVM using this link: Click here to download Microsoft VM
Be sure to reboot your machine before you try the course again.

I'm nervous about taking the Certification exam. What advice can you give me to help me pass it? |
 |
We've noticed that the people who are successful are the ones who have taken all of the courses for that Tier, and have passed the tests for each course in the tier. Most people review the material or retake the class tests just before the Certification Exam. Also, take the Certification Exam while the material is still fresh in your mind.
|
| |
I didn't pass my Certification Exam the first time around. Do I have to notify you or can I just take it again? |
 |
You can just take it again. When you or your employer purchases a Certification Exam, it automatically entitles you to two attempts to pass. Once you pass, then the Exam is no longer available to you.
|
| |
How does testing take place? |
 |
Each class has a final exam to test your understanding of the material. You access the test using the menu bar on the left-hand side of the course introduction page. When you pass a final exam, a Certificate of Completion will be displayed. When you complete all courses in a tier, you may choose to take the Certification exam. In that case, a formal Certificate suitable for framing will be sent to you via U.S. Mail upon successful completion.
|
| |
I keep trying to re-take a test. I keep getting the same score and I get an error message saying the test page was not refreshed. How do I refresh the test page? |

| |
How many credit hours are each of your classes? |
 |
If you look in the detailed description pages for each course, you will see that we provide a range of hours, usually from 2 to 4 hours per class.
We don't specify an exact number of hours, but rather we give a range because people learn at different speeds. Also, some people pause to take notes, others do all of the exercises and quizzes, some people do further research into other related web sites and resources, and so on.
One of the advantages of online training vs traditional classroom training is that the student learns at his own speed.
